Typically, the greater the work ratio to rest the more difficult the workout will be. Below is a sample interval workout for a "fit" individual. To alter difficulty, or to create your own workouts, simply alter work to rest ratio, speed, incline, duration etc. Your workout possibilities really are endless.

Treadmill Interval Workout: |
Warm Up: 5 Mins @ 3-6 kph (no incline)
Main Workload: 30 mins at 2:1 Ratio Cool Down: 5 Mins Easy @ 6-3 kph (no incline) |
