Treadmill Workouts - Interval Workout 3


Treadmill Workouts

This workout is a workout for the more experienced jogger/ runner. Still working on a 1:1 ratio of work:rest, but fairly challenging nevertheless.

Remember, these workouts are not set in stone - they're simply to provide you with ideas to create your own gym workouts. You can make this workout more difficult or easier by simply altering work:rest, speed, incline, overall duration etc. Just play it by ear & monitor your heart rate.

So, here goes - treadmill workout 3.


Treadmill Workout 3:

Warm Up: 5 Mins @ 3-6 kph (no incline)

Main Workload:
Pyramid Interval workout of equal work & rest
3 mins at challenging pace: 3 mins at low intensity.
4 mins at challenging pace: 4 mins at low intensity.
5 mins at challenging pace: 5 mins at low intensity.
4 mins at challenging pace: 4 mins at low intensity.
3 mins at challenging pace: 3 mins at low intensity.

Cool Down: 5 Mins Easy @ 6-3 kph (no incline)
